FC Drive | History
FC DRIVE, an Illinois not-for-profit organization, was founded to teach a higher level of play and inspire competitive excellence in current and former recreational soccer players who are committed to the game. At FC DRIVE, players receive 39 weeks of training and conditioning in the fall, winter, and spring. Additionally, players compete in 18 weekends of outdoor competitive league play and 2-4 indoor and outdoor tournaments.
The club's first season was September, 2007, led by Frank, Chicago Fire Major League Soccer Technical Director, Fred, former US Olympic Team Leader, and Dana, former AYSO Region 418 Board Member.
Frank and now also Denis, former Chicago Fire Head Coach, lead the club as Co-Directors of Coaching. Fred and Dana lead the management of the club as Co-directors of Operations working with the many dedicated volunteers responsible for team administration and the various activities of the club.
For the 2010-11 seasons, there are 22 teams served by 25 volunteers and 13 coaching professionals distinguished by their success at the highest levels of soccer and deep experience in youth coaching.
