FC DRIVE was founded to teach a higher level of play and inspire competitive excellence in current and former recreational soccer players who are committed to the game.  At FC DRIVE, players receive 39 weeks of training and conditioning in the fall, winter, and spring.  Additionally, players compete in 18 weekends of outdoor competitive league play and 2-4 indoor and outdoor tournaments.

The club's first season was September, 2007, led by Chicago Fire Major League Soccer current Technical Director Frank Klopas, former US Olympic Team Leader Fred Hagedorn, and AYSO Region 418 former Board Member Dana Plotkin.

Frank and former Chicago Fire Head Coach Denis Hamlett now lead the club as Co-Directors of Coaching.  Fred and Dana lead the management of the club as Co-directors of Operations working with the many dedicated volunteers responsible for team administration and the various activities of the club.

For the 2009-10 seasons, there are 28 teams teams served by 30 volunteers and 17 coaching professionals distinguished by their success at the highest levels of soccer and deep experience in youth coaching.
